My son applied and was accepted to attend the SLS. I know that once you are accepted to SLS an application file is opened with USMA. When do they want the teacher's letter of recommendation etc. Will they appear on the candidate portal at some point? Any info would be appreciated.

Congratulations on your son's SLS acceptance!
Now that the application is online - I believe it will be on the candidate portal. It may not be available until next fall. He should request them as soon as they are available.
Before school gets out this spring he can get his nomination applications and request the recommendations needed for those.
