My son has everything completed on his army ROTC application, and it was all submitted prior to yesterday's deadline for the October board. However, on his portal his fitness test, which was just completed and uploaded yesterday, and his interview, which occurred on Tuesday, are listed as "pending". I assume that it just takes time to process, but is it safe to conclude that he met the deadline and will be evaluated by the October board?

Yes, it will probably be reviewed and accepted Monday. My DS received a text stating the deadline was moved up to 10/4 to submit documents so you should be fine.

I probably shouldn't venture to answer but I wouldn't make that assumption. Ignoring whether the fitness test and interview results are still outstanding (as in not submitted yet by the responsible party) there is also the issue of how many people are ahead of him in the queue. It's possible there are too many ahead of him in the queue to get reviewed by the first board. Of course all my reasons why it might not be true could be invalid and it might be reviewed by the first board. I would think anyone who answered this (other than ClarksonArmy) would be guessing. Perhaps that's why you've had no responses yet.

Thanks for responses. His portal not list his application as ready for review. Everything submitted and accepted. And today is the new deadline so he's in good shape.

Thanks for the help.

Everyone whose file is completed by the appropriate date, will be reviewed. Last year, my DS's file looked as though there were still items pending at the point of the first board. He contacted the ROO at his first-choice school (which is not where he interviewed with the PMS due to location) who told him that even though his portal showed "pending" on these items, that the official system showed they were completed. He was awarded a scholarship on that first board. I would have your kid contact the ROO to find out for sure, rather than wondering.
