Application Question

On the application, if my son starts and completes this during the next month while school is out and since it asks for his Math and Science teacher recommendation, can he ask the teachers he had from the 11th grade or is he suppose to use his 12th grade teachers only? Forgive me if this is explained in the application itself but he is at Boys State this week and hasn't logged into the application.

I used 11th grade teachers because my 12th grade teachers hadn't known me for long enough to make a recommendation. Pretty sure it's more common for 11th grade teachers to be used.
 
11th grade, they will know more about your child than teachers he hasn't had yet
