I applied and was accepted to Summer Seminar this year, and with that said, was told that my SS app would automatically count as the precandidate questionnaire. Later I was sent a letter informing me that based on my application to SS, I am competitive. So here's my question: In the letter, it said that in order to check my application status, I should go to the link for my SS application. The status says Accepted(As in I have been offered a spot and accepted it), but will this change at all, or should I only expect the status to change after I have applied using the real application that opens up in a couple months? Will I be able to see if I have a nomination or not? I have already sent in a request for a presidential nomination and they replied back saying they would send me notification when they began processing nominations...or something like that(I guess I applied way to early:yllol:)

If its like last year when my son went to summer seminar, you should receive a letter in early July directing you to go online to begin the next phase of the application process. So for now and until after all summer seminar sessions are done, you probably won't see any change in your online status. Don't worry--you're not missing anything. Anyone who didn't apply for summer seminar can only fill out the pre-candidate questionnaire right now, they don't have access to the actual application yet either.

Concerning nominations, yes, your online status page will show when you've received a nomination. But there is usually a lag time between when you receive notification from whatever source (Pres., MOC, VP) that you're getting a nomination and it showing up on your status page. It just depends on how busy they are at the AFA getting files updated, it doesn't mean they haven't received it yet. I think it was a couple weeks between when my son knew he was getting his noms and they actually appeared.
