Will applying to multiple ROTC scholarships hurt my chances of being accepted? As in let's say i apply for the AROTC and NROTC scholarship, will this hurt my chances of being awarded either?

No, they are completely independent of one another. They do not coordinate your applications, or even know you've applied to more than one. You can receive all 3 ROTC Scholarships (Army, Navy, Air Force). Many competitive applicants will be awarded 2 or even 3.

From my experiences this year I can honestly say that no it does not matter. NROTC asks you whether you are applying to other branches but arotc and afrotc do not. That being said I did marine, arotc, and afrotc and only the arotc interviewer brought it up and when i think as long as you give a valid reason then it is not a big deal at all. I say go for it, why not give yourself as many opportunities as possible
