I had a question about the appointee kit. I was wondering how long it takes until we get the other paper work after we have accepted the USAFA appointment offer. I checked the website and I guess they received my confirmation since it says “Appointment Accepted”.

Question for you. I am still waiting to get my appointment. I looked on the website and I am still listed as candidate*. Did it change to appointment when you were given the appointment? Will it change from candidate when you are waitlisted?

This is what it had on the website

Your Status: Candidate
Appointment Status: Appointment Accepted

I have no clue about being waitlisted and it changed to Appointment offer a week after I recieved the packet. Thank you and good luck and hang in there.
 
my status online changed a week before i got the package in the mail.

No. You will be stuck at Candidate forever, even if you get offered and accept the appointment. However, there will be a new "Appointment Status" section that magically appears below your "Your Status" section.
 
Yeah my status changed today from offered to accepted. I am expecting my appointee kit soon...... hopefully.
 
Thanks all of you! Your info. is very helpful. I will continue to look online for any changes that may appear on my status everyday, as well as chase the mailman like the retriever down the street and hang out on this forum getting support from you guys.

question about the appointee kit-
the life insurance/emergency contact form says first to sign everything and mail it in by June 1, but later on it says on the forms themselves to not sign till Iday. whatd you guys do last year?
 
I had the same question. I emailed the person it said to email on the forms about a month ago and I haven't heard back.
