Appointee Stats

As you know, stats can be tricky. The same student earning a 3.5 at a rigorous high school might be a 4.5 at a lesser school. An all-state athlete might be a JV benchwarmer in another state. My guess is the SA admissions teams could make their jobs easier by simply filling their classes with straight-A varsity athletes, but instead dig a bit deeper beyond the stats and resume-fillers to seek who they feel will be the best officers.

This is one of the reasons that the SA's not only request your transcripts, but also require the school to send a "profile" of the school, which is quite in depth. Our school's poor superintendent couldn't believe all of the information she had to submit to USAFA on top of the transcripts, especially since DD is the first from this school district to apply to an SA as well as receive an appointment. Not sure how long the school has been around, but the town was established over 100 years ago.
