Is there a way to discover which nominating source that an appointment was offered? Both nominating sources for our DD have retired from Congress and their offices have disbanded. Not the end of the world, but we kind of wanted to know which MOC the appointment came through on. One of the MOC used the principal nomination method and the other did not. We are also trying to locate other 2019 appointees from the great State of Iowa, but have not had much success. She has been communicating with many other appointees, through West Point social media. Our DD would like to link up with other Iowans who have accepted appointments. Didn't know if it was appropriate to ask through admissions office. Appreciate any help.

It honestly doesn't matter as long as you're in, what I cared about the most 1 month ago was finding out if I got the senator nom, but before the results came out (I didn't get one) I was already appointed and my #1 priority became the last thing on my mind in seconds. Congrats on the appointment.

My DS just got the call from Grassley's office today with his appointment. He is very excited, it was a long, grueling process. He had to get a medical waiver which just came through 2 weeks ago. His astigmatism was too high but luckily, they approved the waiver. We are from West Des Moines, where are you from?

If you get in touch with the Parent Club in your state, they may be able to help you find other families of future Plebes. The Parent Clubs aren't given your info. So, you'll have to reach out to them.

Thanks! He is very excited to finally get the appointment. It was a long journey. Weird question. Does your DD happen to know a Chinese teacher, Mrs. Lee.? I'm trying to figure out if our kids know each other.

DD is a Tiger...is your DS a Maroon? Now that your DS is appointed he should have access to the "Class of 2019" forum or whatever it is the kids are using to communicate with each other. A lot of them are exchanging information etc. for the upcoming year(s). A lot of excited kids!

Yes, he is a Maroon, I figured your DD was a Tiger. DS is waiting for his portal to be updated and his BFE, just have the call from Senator's office so far. Is the "Class of 2019" on this forum? I saw the Facebook page, had about 100 members. Do you know what other social media they are using?

There's a Twitter there, too. Some unofficial page though.
