Just wondering, how many people have NOT received word from the CGA yet?
I haven't and I am worried that my application isn't complete or something.
thanks.

My son has not heard anything yet either. He called his admissions officer and was told that the notifications for MD were mailed yesterday so hopefully only two more days of stalking the mail carrier.

Nothing here in Nebraska. I am just numb from the waiting. Still we should hear soon. Good luck to all still waiting.

One thing you will definitely learn when/if you come here is the golden idea of "hurry up and wait." Semper Gumby or 'always flexible' is also another motto to live by. I can promise you will all find out soon! Good luck and there are only 73 days to go until swab summer! :thumb:

I have been waitlisted today in CT...Can anyone offer any helpful advice to possibly end up recieving an appointment?

Keep your dream in focus -- don't do the stupid stuff some seniors do around graduation. No booze, or other intoxicants, no fights, stay in top physical condition.

waitlist!

My son just got the wait list letter and it says that other information is not required, but is it better to send in updated activities and/or grades? He was planning to travel in June if he did not get accepted to USCGA and now I'm thinking he should hang around CT "just in case"....

What percentage of the waitlist gets an acceptance. Does anyone know an average?

Agree with BruceRTalbot...stay smart, stay strong and keep those fingers and toes crossed!! This may sound extreme but being waitlisted is HUGE!! Keep the faith and you just never know what will happen next !! :shake: :thumb:

staying strong

Well - maybe this will keep him out of a big senior slump in grades. He's a rugby player and in really good shape. U Maine for Marine Science is 2nd choice but USCGA is #1 for sure. Guess we'll put the deposit to UM next week to have plan B.

I appreciate any other comments. Thanks. Helps alleviate parental anxiety. What a LOOOONG year!

Sending in updated activities/grades is probably a good idea. I'm not sure how waitlisters fare (I was on the waitlist last year), but I hear that they tend to have better luck as reapplicants :)
