April is as great a month as any other to find out you have an appointment to the Naval Academy. We are still waiting here for news and are sending out all our best wishes to those in our same situation. Hang in there everyone! I hope we can assume at this point that those who have not heard yet are getting a hard look. That is good news! God bless all these kids and their supportive parents. It is April 1st and we will have to know something in the next few weeks!
 
Here Waiting

Son, waiting too...good luck to all who should be proud to have come this far with true grit, hard work, desire and persistance!
 
Our prayers go out to all who are still anxiously waiting for that answer. No matter the end result, you all should feel very proud that out of record number applicants that you have not been let go, and are being looked at very closely. I know that doesn't help if the answer is "no", but keep your heads up high and you will persevere. We tell our son whether it is this year or next, it will be worth it in the end. I personally think he is doing better then I am (with the waiting). Again, GOOD LUCK!
 
Same here, anxiously waiting. Praying for all those still waiting too.
 
14 days until April 15.
In this 14 days, most candidates will be notified.
 
We're right there with you all. Fingers crossed, prayers said and lots of sleepless nights. Not too much longer....

Son is also waiting. All the best to these wonderful sons and daughters for getting this far!
 
I called Admissions today and spoke to a lovely young woman. My son's status hasn't changed (still "no decision") but she did tell me that the admissions board only meets on Thursdays. For some reason I was under the (mistaken) impression they were meeting on a daily basis this month. Now I know that if we don't see anything by Monday (we're on the East Coast) I can get some sleep until next weekend :)
 
thanks for info - I have been operating under that reasoning as well - we are here in virginia and hold my breathe friday thru monday - then figure we are off the hook (dreading the thin envelope) for a few days! Good luck to everyone -

Where is everybody from? Im from NJ right on the beach in a town called Long Branch, used to be a pretty famous town back in the day, lots of famous people from this area too! Im basically neighbors with Bon Jovi, Bruce Springtein and Queen Latifa!

How about everyone else?
