April is a great month!

Another Day Goes By......

:Mailman drove up the driveway today...he usually does that with special deliveries:tank:.......my heart raced, I focused on his every movement as he reached into the truck, he bent in to get his delivery,:zip: he turned....I thought for sure it must be the Blue Folder that is getting such tender, loving attention.....it came into view.... my breathing became faster as did my heart rate.

:unhappy: :unhappy: :unhappy: :unhappy:
UGHH, it was a box of something from EBAY

COME ON BIG, SHINEY, WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL BLUE FOLDER!!!

this is my second year applying. so ive been waiting for two years and i still havent heard anything haha. just remember what the important part is. the commission. no matter what happens with usna just remember that. so if you dont get in do nrotc (like me) and apply again next year. get some.

The folder should be in a brown UPS envelope (or USPS) from what I heard...
So after waiting for many days, we finally reach that week with the final Thursday.

Some more insight

Although I agree that April is as good as any month to receive your big blue envelope, I could not help but become 10x more anxious for notification when April 1st arrived.

I e-mailed my B&G officer today to inquire how my chances fair in the last month of the admissions board. To my surprise, he informed me that the window between April to the END of May is used for filling the quota. That means as appointees decide not to attend the academy and return their appointments, the admissions board will send out more appointments to fill their quota.

I do not know what this means in regards to notification before the 15th, all I know is that there is still plenty of time to find out good or bad news.

I interpret my position as being wait-listed. It isn't guaranteed appointment but neither is it guaranteed rejection. Let's stay optimistic!

Good luck to everyone!

"It's not over till the fat lady sings!"

Our son received his offer of Appointment during a major EC snowstorm at the beginning of March. The "package" is a large manila envelope delivered by USPS. Inside is the "Big Blue Folder'!

Just keep the Faith.

During his CVW visit at the end of March one of the 1st Class Mids passed along that he received his offer two weeks before I-Day.

Wishing all of you that are still waiting all the best! Have Plan B is place but remember "It's not over till the fat lady sings!" And that won't be until 1 July!!!
