April is a great month!

my dad predicted that tomorrow would be the day I would find out, and that was over a month ago. so here's to hoping he's right! cheers!
 
The BGO called my daughter while she was at a track meet today to tell her that no decision had been made, but she should know by Friday. Then he went on to explain the whole wait list procedure.

So to make a long story short, we still don't know a thing.
 
Not really sure, she was between vaults at a track meet and didn't fill in all the blanks.

I'll post more as soon as I see her and get the details.
 
Story continues:

So the BGO contacted my daughter this evening, advised her that competition was stiff this year and a number of candidates had been eliminated in our area. He didn’t go into detail on numbers, but did say she was still in the hunt.
He said that she would know one of three things on Friday, YES!, no or wait listed.

She explained to me briefly that if she did receive a “wait list” letter that she would have to respond by email in a specified amount of time. She would also need to answer some questions, fill out a survey and request and forward her last quarter transcripts.

So hang in there everybody, story continues on Friday…..

Wow, sounds as though she's really close to the cutoff. Good luck! I sincerely hope she's on the blue and gold side of the cutoff!
 
Thanks for the info, i would assume that the rest of us who are still to receive any notification are on the same track as your daughter, man this is tough.
 
Yes that was a notice that went out to all BGOs, mine informed me of it this morning.

Another hour before my mail comes, but I'm thinking Saturday since they said by the end of the week. Oh well, only time will tell!

My application has been decided from what my Regional Director said.
I will receive the "item" soon.

I don't think my application is the only one that has been decided on also.

did you call your regional director or did he/she contact you?

I requested my Regional Director not to tell me the decision.

I requested my Regional Director to email me if a decision has been reached.

I understand. well im keeping my fingers crossed for you and i think i'm going to ask my regional director to do the same thing for me.
 
Just to calm everyone's nerves down a bit, here's some statistics that I calculated (a simple divide for the percentages):

Triple Qualified Nominees 2,196
Offers of admission 1,537

70 % offers are made out of those who are Triple Qualified


Class of 2011
Triple Qualified Nominees 1,893
Offers of admission 1,448

77 % offers are made out of those who are Triple Qualified


Class of 2010
Triple Qualified Nominees 1,888
Offers of admission 1,510

80 % offers are made out of those who are Triple Qualified


Means for Class of 2010 to 2012
Mean Triple Qualified Nominees 1,992
Mean Offers of admission 1,498

approximately 75 % offers are made out of those who are Triple Qualified


So approximately 3 out of 4 of fully qualified candidates are offered admission.

Unfortunately our permit to report packages aren't coming April 15th, they won't be sound out until Late April/ Early May, I spoke to my RD today about it. Good luck to every one waiting!
