I have searched this forum and I have not found an answer. Do individual ROTC battalions have control over what boots a cadet can wear? Or are any 670-1 Army authorized boots acceptable?

In case you are interested in a recommendation, DS loves the Blackhawk Warrior Wear Desert Ops Boot, Desert Tan color. He says they are very comfortable. His only lasted a little over a year (as far as looking good) as he used them for firefighting over the summer :rolleyes: and kind of trashed them. We got a new pair for $99 at LA Police Gear online.

I am posting this link here because this store has made it easy to see which brands they sell that are AR 670-1 compliant.

The boots that are issued to cadets are not the best and some if not most cadets eventually buy different ones. Last year DS purchased some Reeboks and said it made all the difference in the world on long rucks. If you are thinking of buying a boot for this upcoming fall I would advise you do it soon and start breaking them in now.
