Hey guys I'm new to this forum and feel really stupid for asking this question.

About two weeks ago, I got a call from my Recruiting Officer from Auburn and was notified I got a 4 year scholarship there. I've received a certificate from them and been awarded another winner certificate from a local PMS. (I'm out of the Dallas area). I know I will have take a physical for DODMERB, but what is my next step in accepting my scholarship?

Btw, my portal says "winner" if that helps. Like I said, I know it's a stupid question, and I'm also new to the forum, but I don't want to jeopardize anything.

Thanks for any help and congrats on any other winners!

You should receive a letter with instructions. However, this year seems to be different, so maybe someone who has gotten instructions will chime in. Did you click the application tab? I think that is the tab that someone said lists all of the schools that you have been awarded a scholarship to.

Bump for an answer to this thread. I was told I had until Jan 8 2016 to accept or decline the scholarship and i don't know where to begin sadly....

My my. Aren't we impatient, bu,piing the thread after approximately 90 minutes. Good Grief! It's Army/Navy football day and everyone is at some party watching the game, celebrating their victory or commiserating in their defeat.

As soccmomer said yo should receive a letter with instructions. I've also read a few posts here of folks accepting Army scholarships online (or was that WP appointments). Anyway, until you can get a better answer you might try searching around your portal.

To jump on what kinnem and soccmomer have said....if you were awarded a 4-year AROTC scholarship from the first board your application portal has already been updated to "winner". My DS has been told by both his 1st and 2nd choice schools that the next thing that will happen is that he will receive the official letter through the US Mail from Cadet Command with instructions as to the next steps (they anticipated those letters were to go out sometime between Dec 9-15). Being that the portals were updated on Dec 9th, we are assuming the letter will arrive shortly. They also said that DODMERB paperwork will also be arriving. So basically - hang out until the paperwork arrives. My advice to my son was if the paperwork doesn't arrive by next Friday (Dec 18) call the ROO of his 3 schools; chances are they will have the ability to track down when the paperwork has (or is) being mailed out.

Last year my son received a letter shortly after the portal changed. He had a certain number of days to accept or decline the scholarship and if he accepted the scholarship he had to select his school.

My son has not received anything yet by postal mail, either. Our USPS is not reliable. We often get others mail and/or items we know were posted never show up. I'm using this board as an indicator of when we should make some sort of official inquiry!
