But they were a one-use item? I was surprised they weren't worn for the bowl game last Saturday. Will they ever be worn again?
Just one time. The football team jerseys, after their win, were very highly sought after items. There were offers of two and three dollars. Most of the Cadets kept the jerseys for themselves and others were given to their fathers. Rightfully so. Helmets were another hot item. Again the players received them as gifts. One very popular player had his helmet taken as prank from the other cadets. He made an announcement he wanted his helmet returned because "I earned it and its mine". It was returned with photos taped of all the travels it had been taken. It was all in good fun.
