OK ... our son will be a Firstie and we're finally able to go to an Army Navy Game this fall ... we missed the window for our son to buy us tickets ... and looking on line, it's nuts what the scaplers want -- I've seen $650+. Any advice on finding good seats (2) at a good price ... we hope for a good location (not nosebleed!) ... any othe advice, insight would be appreciated too ... Thanks!

MJOmom, great news that your going to make the game. It's something every Mid parent should try and experience.
Get onto the Listserve and keep an eye out for Army/Navy game tickets. Many come up for sale. Look for "Club Seats" which in Philadelphia are worth the price. Don't pay any premium as most people are looking to get their money back...just pay for postage which you can arrange via email with the seller...it's Navy family taking care of Navy family...good luck.

Army Navy Tickets 2012?

Gongtosea is correct. Club seats are worth the price especially in Philadelphia. They really know how to host the event. I have already bought my tickets for this years game. And have a hotel room for the weekend. My wife and I went to FEDEX Field last year and it is one of the worst venues, I have ever been in. Try calling the Navy ticket office at 1-800-US4-NAVY (1-800-874-6289). Also try the following website: www.phillylovesarmynavy.com. Two years ago they sold tickets for the suites in the stadium, you got everything ticket, all the food one could one to eat and more.

Good luck,

RGK

GO NAVY BEAT ARMY

Make sure you get rooms early too. Phillie rocks when Army/Navy is in town.

Hey...really, just join the Blue and Gold Club at the naval Academy...you can get tickets through them at face value...if it is not too late. My son went to Kings Point (Merchant Marine Academy and is now a Naval Doc stationed in San Diego) and I asked him how to do it. All his USNA grad friends sid just join the Blue & Gold Club at the min. level and ask for tickets when the time comes. Worked great for us! I got two tickets in the Navy section (upper deck, but view was great in Philly) at face value.

I think I joined for the year at the $100 level. Sure, you add that to the costs, but , hey it went to the Naval Academy Athletic Dept. and that's not all bad is it?

Just a thought...worked GREAT for us! Saw Navy beat Army in 2010, and had a great time in Philly...even had fun with some Army folks!

GO NAVY-BEAT ARMY!!!!

Good luck...you really MUST go at least once to this game...it's a "bucket list" item for sure!!!

When haven't you seen Navy beat Army? Blue and Gold is a good way to get priority tickets and worth the price if your Mid doesn't get tickets within the window. Still late even for members. Good Luck. Even buying season tickets and reselling all home games might wok out? It is something to see and a great day and definitely a sport "bucket list" item. Join the Alumni Association for the minimum fee. I do recommend the Alumni Brunch before the game. Especially if it is a cold day.

Good information but have a question...Navy has played in Philly before so how does that work for Mids? Mine will be a youngster, we are trying to figure out if we should stay in Annapolis Fri, Sat and drive to Philly or stay in
Philly. Typically how much can you see your mid on Army weekend? Can they ride back to Annapolis with us? If the time we see them will be short guess easiest to stay in Philly, we would have just seen them Thanksgiving and will see soon for Christmas anyway...and advice appreciated.

Alumni Association runs busses from Annapolis to the game and back along with the tailgate. Check that but your Mid would probably get back before you. I think they may get extended liberty on Saturday that weekend and you may be able to drive them back to Annapolis? That would probably include time for dinner but traffic can be terrible. We did dinner for Navy/ND one year but did it Friday night. Trying to plan Saturday before your Mid gets the actual information is a nightmare.

If too late for navy atheletic association, the cut of Army Athletic Association is June 15th. I think the minimum is $50, which entitles to you 4 Army Navy ticket at 75$ each.

I payed the extra for reserved parking in Philly and it was well worth it for easy in and somewhat easy out. Your Firstie needs a good talking to if this is your first chance. Even Mids get nosebleed tickets but if in the sun not bad. Can't wait for the new spirit spots from both. I still think this is one of the best. Krypter did some great work while he was there.

This is all such good info! We already have a hotel -- Club Quarters ... which is near public transit, we're told ... anyone ever stay there? The downside is parking doesn't come with it ...

We have potential for finding tickets ... and thanks for the advice about springing for the better ones ... we definitely will ... this will be an awesome trip!
Go Navy ...
