I'm in the process of completing the scholarship application for AROTC and I have a question about the athletics section. The only school sport I have done is Varsity tennis, but I do karate and it has a section for karate but it only allows me to click if it was varsity or jv and then there is a spot that says, "city/county organized leagues." do I just leave it blank and only put tennis down and then put karate and any other sports down in "additional remarks"? also, I ski, but not in competition or anything, just for fun, should I put that down too or no? Thank you!

Fill out the Karate portion, then comment about exactly what you did in the remarks section. Portions of the application can be tricky, but you have to work with what you're given. Good luck :thumb:

IMO;
If it's an organized competitive sport, you definitely want to include it.
If it's school sponsored, put as school, otherwise place in city/county.
If the type of sport is not listed, write it in the 'name of other sport' slot.

Tell about your Karate participation in the 'comment: additional info' at the end of the application - List interests and activities in 'comment: additional info' as well - like you skiing.

I would also list any major accomplishments like Black Belt(or degrees of black belt). Definitely explain how long you've done it in the additional comments section.
