I am a high school senior who has applied for the 4 year ROTC scholarship, and I finished my application before the first board in October. My status is currently "boarded" and was hoping if current ROTC cadets or parents could enlighten me on my chances of receiving the scholarship. Here is all of my info:

Male, 5' 9", 140 lbs
3.7 unweighted GPA
Have taken AP Calc AB/BC AP Physics, AP Compu Sci, and AP English 12, plus many honors classes
Cross Country and Tennis (yeah only the manliest of sports for me)
Band
National Honor Society President
Eagle Scout
Boys State Attendee
VMI is my number one school (accepted)
SAT's are around 1800, (1250 for math and reading)

my PFA scores are
Mile Run: 6:25
Pushups: 46
Situps: 42

I also conducted my interview at VMI and my Intended major is Electrical Engineering

any response/advice would be appreciated

Your stats look good. Eagle scout and boys state will be a plus. You have good leadership.

Your athletics sound very familiar. My older son played tennis and my younger son ran cross country, both received 4 year scholarships. Were you captain of either sport, shouldn't hurt if not based on other leadership positions.

It will all come down to available slots for the schools you have listed. I would say you are above the bubble as far as chances go.

Thanks for the reply, it is just nerve racking right now while waiting to hear back from the ROTC board

I got a full tuition scholarship to Virginia Tech in the first board and your stats are much better than mine (except SAT). You'll be fine, don't worry.
