I am finishing my ROTC scholarship application. I have everything online completed aside from submiting my Physical Fitness Test results. I put in the information for whom i want to give me the test, however they have not recieved the information yet. I went ahead and completed the test so that i could have it odne before the weather cools down. I just need to submit it, and i dont know how? Do i need to complete my interview before i get the information, or does it just take awhile? Answers appriceated! Thanks in advance!

If the application is like last year, you can upload the PFA sheet on the 'File Upload" page of the application. As I recall, you can indicate that the file you are uploading is the PFA.

Upload it or email it to address on the scorecard...too easy!! And kudos on not waiting until your grader receives instructions. For those that haven't done the PFT don't wait for your grader to receive instructions. Download the scoresheet and have them give you the test and then send in the grades.

So there is no need to wait until my coach receives his information before submitting my test results? I should just upload the file now, and schedule my interview?

Is it better to post a score and then work to improve it or should you hold off until you feel you are close to the best you can achieve?

Yes, just scan it onto your computer and from there upload it to your application. Very easy.

As someone who completed the ROTC Scholarship last year I would say if you have a good score I would upload it sooner than later. If it changes then send in the improved grade but you want to have the best one for when the boards start.

That being said, if you have good grades and are generally involved in and out of school you should be all set depending on which schools you are applying to. I know students who arrived, have four year scholarships and still can't pass the PT Test after almost three and a half months of being at school.

Just remember that once your application has been boarded you can't send in any updates of your PFT to your application.

    Every Point Counts

If you think you can increase your point total before the board, then certainly do it again and submit.

My DS went through the scholarship process last year and chose to do multiple PFT's over several weeks with one of the high school coaches. He then waited until he got the one he wanted and submitted that one. He was afraid to post more than one just in case the better one that was posted at a later date wasn't picked up in the file that went before the board. Keep in mind, last year was the first year that significant changes were made to the application process, so he couldn't get any reliable input from anyone that had gone through the process in prior years. So, he was extra cautious about what he uploaded to his portal.
