Army ROTC Results

We should get the first board's result by Friday from what I have seen on the forums

Not trying to burst your bubble but it would be a miracle surpassing Michigan's flubbed point which turned into a Michigan State touchdown for the results to be out this friday. If you read around the board, somebody contacted Cadet Command directly and was told TODAY (Nov 3rd) that the results won't be out for another 2-3 weeks. Literally every cycle is different so there is NO GUARANTEE on when they will come out or how they get distributed. For the life of me, I don't understand why they don't have a "sticky post" or a FAQ page so this same question doesn't get asked 10-15 times every time the board meets.

/\ Couldn't agree more, love the idea of a sticky post regarding waiting for results.

I certainly would not get your hopes up for any news by this Friday, I hope we end up eating our words but just be prepared for a longer wait.

Sorry, my bad. I read threads from the previous years, and many pointed to 2-3 weeks after the board convenes. I hope they release them soon :/

Trust me. I understand your anxiety and eagerness. I went thru it twice with both my kids. Once this board starts lighting up with people posting that they received scholarship notification, you'll be checking the Cadet Command portal every 10 minutes and that anxiety will just increase every time it doesn't say "winner" or whatever word they're using this year next to your name.

If someone is boarded at the 1st board and does not receive a scholarship.. is it unlikely that they will receive a scholarship at all?
My application was decent.. but class rank and gpa were dragging far behind the averages.
I'm worried if I'm not a winner this first round it won't be likely I'll get a scholarship at all, which means more than likely I'll be enlisting.
Thank you in advance.

Woah! Spend a little time researching the forum on campus based scholarship SMP etc. I don't know what your financial situation but make sure you pick a school that you can afford if you don't get the scholarship that way you can compete for a campus scholarship. There are many ways to commission. I don't have that much experience with the national scholarship but the answer to your question is no, and I'm sure you'll hear from plenty of people who received scholarships on the second or third board.

I was wondering if anyone has heard back yet about the Army 4 Year scholarship Board? Its been awhile sense the convene dates and I'm starting to worry.

Zach, my understanding is that the most competitive applicants are awarded a scholarship on the first board. Also the least amount of scholarships are awarded on the first board with the majority coming on the second and third boards. For those of you waiting to hear go for a run or perfect your PU and SU form.
