ARMY/VS Navy?

As I was pestering my Ret Army Husband the other day about going on our exercise walk (Which he always tries to get out of) .

he said "I don't need a walk, I am ready for a Ruck march"

She said "Great do you want Army Boots, Marine Boots or Navy Boots?"

He said "Navy! what are those HOUSE SLIPPERS!"

other son "Actually that would Be Sperry Deck Shoes!"

I wore steel-toed boots when at sea, and every day at my first duty station with the tugboats. Much better protection than my khaki bunny slippers against a dropped piece of heavy steel gear.

Sailors swore by them for dirty bar fights. I never tested them that way, alas.

I saved the Sperrys for cocktail cruises.

Yea .... this from an Aviator no less, what does he know about Ruck marches!
