Maybe. But there is still 4 or 5 boards. You WILL have good news eventually....I have a male premonition.:biggrin:

Still waiting

Well, my family has been suffering in silence. This is much harder than we thought it would be. I guess my son will have to wait some more since his status didn't change. He is feeling like everything is hanging on this scholarship since he has already been accepted to his school choices. Until next month!
 
Everyone keep the faith! For those that are accepted to their schools....AWESOME. You are ahead of the game. And if you haven't heard "Yes" yet to the scholarships....at least you haven't heard "No!".
The scholarships will come. As one scholarship officer said just this week..."It's still VERY early in the process."
 
So you guys are sure that if my status changes to the DODMERB saying it means that I have been awarded a scholarship? I just read through this whole thread and was I was afraid to look at my status. However now it seems too good to be true.

Actually, many of us think that it means the Army will offer you a scholarship if you pass your DODmerb. Good luck.
 
Not sure if it was just an individual error or not, but my status changed to the DODMERB info and I wasn't actually awarded a scholarship. I'd recommend everyone who has gotten this status to try and confirm the it with a PMS or Scholarship officer from their school by e-mail.
 
Wow, I really hope that this doesnt happen to me. I emailed both my PMS and scholarship officer to confirm, but no response from either yet.
 
Son received emails from 2 of his batallions today. They both wished him congratulations on winning 4-year scholarships.

These batallions include his #1, #4, and #5 colleges. Nothing official from the Army CC yet; just emails from these 2 ROOs.

Now all he has to do is get admitted. :redface:
 
Two of the schools my son listed called last night and informed him of the news that a 4-year offer was available. I assume official letters will come in a week or so but these schools want to jump into the recruiting mode quickly once they know one of their applicants has the scholarship. I really felt no word would come until after Christmas.
 
Daughter received a congratulations email from her #4 school. No word from the top 3 yet.

UPDATE: The AROTC online status check also indicates scholarship to #2 and #6. :smile:
