First board started today and DD's status changed to Boarded. Curious if anyone knew how long after boards do they start notifying winners? I know the dates for board to meet are today through Friday, is it safe to assume all applications are reviewed before any scholarships are awarded?

FYI for anyone else that is boarded during this first round..ROO at DD's first choice school just contacted her and said that those receiving scholarships this go around would hear on or about November 15th.

Son's status is still "Board Ready". I wonder if they flip as the files are voted.....

Hmmm I wonder. Not sure if they are looked at in order submitted, but my DD's interview (last item for completion) wasn't submitted until 10/4.

If it helps, my interview (which was my last item too) was submitted before 10/4 however I'm still at board ready, so perhaps not exactly chronological order. Not sure though

Must not be in order of completion. Maybe alphabetically? She is beginning of alphabet. Or it is just completely random :)

I'm boarded as well! Does anyone know how winners will likely first be told? Will the online application status change to "Winner"? Or will they be emailed by a ROO at one of their schools? Or will they receive a letter in the mail?

Even if winners aren't notified by ROOs at their schools, will they likely know soon and/or will ROOs be able to tell them? I'm wondering because I have a Nov. 15th deadline for a few applications and I'm currently undecided between Early Action and Early Decision for a couple schools, so finding out before then could significantly affect me.

If it helps, both my first and last name are at the very beginning of the alphabet and I was not board ready until late September, although my SAT scores and transcript were approved back in June.

Last year our daughter found out she was a first round winner the first week in December. We remember thinking it would be nice news for our Thanksgiving visit home. LOL of course it was nice first week in December news also!! Our dau just worked her first ROTC table at an Open House! How is it possible we were just in those parents/seniors shoes a very short time ago?!

Our dau got a congratulations phone call first and her status changed to winner. Hopefully one of the ROO's will jump on and let us know how it will work this year. Last year CC's method was different than previous years. Our dau got her phone call from the AROTC program at the school closest to where we live, so not necessarily a school she applied. Her ROO knew she made it but had to wait to talk to her until after she was notified.

Thanks! She has MOC interviews next week and then trip to West Point first weekend of November so hopefully she's busy enough not to stalk portal too much lol :)
It's a totally wild ride!! Our dau checked that portal 50 million times a day only to get a phone call in the car that we proceeded to put on speaker phone! Just crazy!! Btw our dau had two hs classmates go to USMA from her class. They love it!

Okay so my application and interview was complete by mid-September, and I have been Board Ready for awhile. My last name starts with a Y so I guess I'm not being boarded for awhile ;D

Wild is right! The portal stalking started early this morning (I'm sure while board members were still asleep) and continued until it flipped to Boarded! She is looking forward to her overnight at West Point. She attended SLE but a "day in the life" perspective with a cadet will really help her make a sound decision when/if time comes for her to do so. Thank you again for sharing your dau experience.

My last name starts with an R, and my status still says "Board Ready", do they board alphabetically? How long does it take until you will be notified?
