AROTC Contracting Board

Is it common for scholarship winners to go the contracting board, I was under the impression that our spot was "guaranteed" if we pass/maintain requirements?

If you have an official scholarship offer you shouldn't need to go before a contracting board. Do you have an official offer letter from Cadet Command? Are you currently meeting all the requirements? Of course, that being said, there are no real guarantees in the Army.
