AROTC Interview Coming Up

I have read all of the older threads about the AROTC interview, but was wondering if anyone's child has already done it for this year, and is willing to share how it went? DS is quite confident, doubt that he's nervous, but mom sure is. He's planning to submit for the first board, and we are both ready to be done with this phase of the process.

Yes, my DS completed his interview for AROTC at the end of July. It went well it lasted longer than we thought. It took around 2 hours. He said typical questions, why the army? Etc. The interview was added to the portal after two weeks. My DS has his AFROTC on Wednesday. Good luck

Thanks!! DS has been trying to get this scheduled for month! If it takes two weeks to be added to the portal, he may be in trouble for the first board!

I do not know if that is standard, but yes it took a little over two weeks to show up. I think if your DS tells the PMs interviewer they want to sit first board maybe they can get it in quicker. My DS was so nervous too, once you get that first one out the way confidence goes up.

How long it takes is up to the PMS (or whoever puts the interview into the system). The minute you walk out the door the PMS could sit down at his computer and knock it out. Perhaps when the PMS asks you if you have any questions you could ask him when he expects to put your interview results into CCIMM.
