AROTC January Board Acceptance

Am I supposed to be checking the DodMERB website? If so, can someone message me the name of it? Just checked the Army ROTC website. Still no change. I want to go to Oklahoma State University to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Probably will be a Vet with the Army. My stats are:
GPA: 3.94, ACT: 27, involved in TaeKwonDo and Violin, got the Congressional Gold Medal for public service, and everything is in my application in order. :thumb:

https://www.dodmets.com/AppLogIn.aspx Google is your friend:thumb: By the way, Nice Stats!

Thank you, PapaBear! I didn't know we were supposed to be checking DodMERB. Whoops..

Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach
Aeronautical Science
Aviation Officer

By the way Helen23, what belt are you in Taekwondo? I have a black belt. And good luck to everyone as this month's decisions are made!

My main goal is Med School, so biomedical engineering.
I also have Noms to WP and USAFA
30ACT
33 science
32 math
3.7 Gpa
Top 20% class

Play hockey, soccer and lacrosse, work and volunteer. I am very weak on my extra curriculars so I don't think I will get into an SA. Just getting the nom says enough for me!!!

Oh, I am a 2nd degree black-belt. Kukkiwon certified. I am also a certified referee level D-2. for those who aren't in TKD, that means I can go to any TKD gym anywhere in the world and call myself a black belt. It's really cool!

That's very impressive. I am a 2nd degree as well, however I am not referee certified. Good luck Helen23, your application should be pretty solid.:thumb:

Good luck to you, too! In fact, good luck to all of us who are waiting to see what happens next!

3.7 GPA
Top 15% of class
NHS, Community service, Volunteer hours, Soccer captain, and other stuff I can't think of.

I would like to either go:

Virginia Tech

or

James Madison University

Want to study Architecture

Infantry Officer
IOBC and then directly to Ranger School

More drawn out version -- Reg Army PL spot, then 75th PL position, then Reg Army Company Commander, then to 75th Company Commander

Rangers lead the way!!

"Infantry Officer
IOBC and then directly to Ranger School

More drawn out version -- Reg Army PL spot, then 75th PL position, then Reg Army Company Commander, then to 75th Company Commander"

And this is all just what i hope, I know that there are no guarantees and that this may not be the exact path I will go down.

Just checked DoDMERB website...nothing. Anybody else check theirs? This wait is so nerve racking!:frown: If nobody hears anything today, hopefully it'll be tomorrow or friday.

I would say Monday following how the last 2 boards have been. The board only ended on Friday and they need to put together the scores from the carry-overs from the last 2 boards and the new one.

I believe that DoDMERB results didn't show up until the end of the week when the notifications started showing up for people.

Just checked the Army ROTC website. Still nothing. Hoping for some news tomorrow or Friday.... *crossing fingers*

January board

Remember Monday was a holiday. Was told nothing was done on Monday. Hopefully we should see some movement on the go army website tomorrow or Friday.

Progress is being made. My daughter accepted a scholarship from the Dec board and the new status was on her portal today. The PMS from her school also knew the status today of everyone with an outstanding offer from the Dec Board. With that done, they now know how many slots they have to work with.

Good luck to everyone!

hey all, i am also applying for the scholarship. I was not offered from the december board, and like all of you im anxiously awaiting the results. If I could please get some feedback for this comment or even some speculation... My top school is Franciscan University of Steubenville (small school in Ohio) and it is a satellite school to Robert Morris University. My question is, how many scholarships would you all guess this school has to hand out? The only reference I have from a very generous PMS at Dayton is that they have around 7-10 scholarships allocated to them. It is a strange hope, but I am sort of hoping on the fact that not a lot of people will be applying for a scholarship to FUS (it's a very small, very catholic school with less than 3500 students). But comparing that to a powerhouse like Dayton, how many scholarships are you guys guessing Franciscan has? 1? 2? 3 maybe? Also my other speculation is on how many on-campus scholarships schools usually have. Thanks guys.

Career: Potentially Infantry with an Airborne focus, Military Intelligence, Finance Corps or Air Assault (in that order)
Major: Finance
Schools: Franciscan University, University of Dayton, St. Bonaventure, Xavier, University of Pittsburgh

I can't help you with a guess, but I can offer a suggestion. Why not call the PMS at Robert Morris and ask him? I'm sure he will know that you are applying for one of "his" scholarships and won't mind talking to you and giving you a "ball park" figure. Plus it's always a good idea to let him know that you are very interested.

How far is FUS from Robert Morris and how many times a week will you need to commute to RM?

Thanks for the info mariner116. Knowing there's something going on really helps all of us still 'patiently' waiting.

agagles give good advice with regards to contacting the unit. I would start with the ROO for your specific campus.

In our experience, each unit divides its scholarships up differently between campuses. Units that hold classes at the individual campuses in the unit may very well slice them up per campus. Units that hold classes at the home campus may have their allotment in one pool, or multiple pools. The multi-pool situation often occurs when there is a great variation in tuitions betwen the schools in the unit. This allows them to manage their allocated dollars (they get dollars not scholarships) to create the number of scholarships necessary to sustain their program.

goaliedad, I've been thinking of goaliegirl now that the January boards are over. My fingers are crossed for her. Please keep us posted.
