AROTC January Board Acceptance

Will post results when they show up. And besides knocking on wood and crossing fingers, goalies (and their parents) have plenty more superstitious practices...
 
Just checked the Army ROTC website again for myself. Still nothing. This waiting is killing me! Is there an arrgh smiley? :wink:
 
Same thing. Just checked DoDMERB and Army status. Nothing. Maybe tomorrow? Let's cross our fingers:rolleyes:

I just have to say how glad I am that I found these boards. It is so comforting to know that I am not the only person in the world who is so IMPATIENTLY waiting on news that will literally change my son's life.
Thanks for making me feel normal. :rolleyes: At least I know there isn't some guy at headquarters wondering "who is this nutcase that logs in to this account EVERY day??" Now I know there are so many of us, they can't possibly be worried about me! :biggrin:

Seriously--wishing all of us good luck and maybe tomorrow will bring good news. My son has a tournament in the neighboring town of his #1 school choice this weekend, so we are making a side trip tomorrow to visit one more time. I have been praying like crazy that the stars align and we get the news tomorrow before we leave the house. How wonderful will that be?!?

I'm stressed right now. I completed my file early December and somehow they misplaced the review of my PMS interview. I had to call my local school to have them resubmit, so it looks like I may have missed this board. Fingers crossed for the next one, but I still hope I somehow made this one and the letter I received today from CC wast just back logged.

We're hoping for an AROTC scholarship - specifically to VT. :smile:

I have great appreciation for so many of you- Goaliedad for sure, but there are many others -- the information on this forum has been so helpful, and the
"community" is equally invaluable. I am truly rooting for every one of us to get scholarships! So, looking forward to posting and reading posts very soon!

making the jan board

I completed my file on December 23. Do you think my application was reviewed during the January Board? I check my status multiple times per day and it still says I need to do the official interview even though it was completed back in November. Hopefully the good news will come soon!
 
I actually just checked the application completion letter and it was dated December 30. Does that make the deadline?

I think my chances are pretty good for an AROTC scholarship.

gpa- 3.4
sat- 650 math 550 cr 620 wr
3 year varsity football, captain senior year
3 year varsity lacrosse
work 45 hrs a week in summer as a sports director at a summer camp

I am hoping to attend Va Tech, Ohio State, or the Citadel.
So far I am only accepted at The Citadel.

I had thought your chances were pretty good until I read the above sentence. Hopefully no one on the scholarship board will see this part of your post about "only" having been accepted by The Citadel. :wink:
 
Well - I too have been watching the posts....just like last month! Since then, my son has been accepted and visited the Batallion at this #1 school - WVU. Now just waiting for the Board results!

Fingers crossed for all of us!

I said "only the citadel" because that is the only school I have heard back from. I was extremely excited to get accepted and it was way back in November. Hopefully I receive a decision tomorrow.

All anyone could give you is a guess. Can / will CC prepare your packet for review in two weeks? Particularly the two weeks following the holidays and probable back log of applications? I don't know. All I can say is that hopefully it got done and I wish you the best. Sorry I couldn't be more definite than that.
 
I just checked my status on the ROTC website. Nothing changed. Anyone hear anything?
