AROTC January Scholarship Boards

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone is aware of when the results/winners of scholarships from the second boards from January 25-29, 2016 will be announced. Also, if you are not a winner of a scholarship from this board, will they let you know that or will you have to endure months of not knowing until the third boards?

Winners will probably know anywhere from 2-5 weeks from now.
If you do not receive a scholarship you will know when you see others saying they got scholarships and your portal remains unchanged.

Your portal will reflect a new status if you receive a scholarship. If you do not receive one and your file is reviewed again during the next board, I believe for AROTC your portal will say "reboarded."

Actually with Army you are only boarded once and it will remain boarded even during the next board, there is not a re-boarded status according to the Cadet Command portal. And the application will not be re-boardeded, it is only boarded once, but the applicant will remain on the Order Of Merit list and is still eligible for a scholarship when the lists are looked at after each board.

Do you have a contact at one of your listed schools of choice? I would wait until the first week of March. If your status hasn't changed by then, and you've received no other contact, you could reach out to him/her at that time.

I have not personally won one as of yet (just got boarded) but a friend of mine who won one was notified via the AROTC director at his top school (VMI) about 3 weeks after being boarded.
