AROTC March Board Released

Understanding the scholarship result notification from the 3rd also final board for this year 2014 - 2015 had completed posted. Up today, my selection status still says "Boarded", assuming I don't get one. Is it right so?

For now, you are probably assuming correctly.

Now would be a good time to explore Plan B and C & D if you them. If you have a school selected to attend it may be a good time to contact the ROO for the Battalion and let them know of your intent to attend their school and AROTC program. Keep up a dialog if they are receptive. Battalions often have scholarships that will be available to new cadets that did not receive one from the national scholarship program. Come to school ready to get a high APFT score the first time, hit the books hard your first semester for a good GPA, and participate in all ROTC training, don't miss any classes or PT. Do as well as you can so you can put yourself in a good position to receive a campus scholarship if any are available.

My DS received notice yesterday from his #1 choice OOS school that while he did not receive a National scholarship they wanted to offer him a 3 YR one. They sent him a copy of the letter and said he will be receiving the official package from cadet command within the week. Don't give up hope. Maybe there are more school based offers to come for those waiting.
