Does anyone know when AROTC board results come out for the January board? I heard its the last week in January or first week in February. So I was wondering if that meant any time now. Also would they change the portal first or would they send out letters?

Based on what I've heard, the portal will change a few days before you get a letter. It will say you've been offered a scholarship but probably won't say if it's a three or four year and won't say what schools you can use it at. And I'm pretty sure it should be anytime from now to early february! I've been checking mine everyday waiting!

So say that you get reboarded for the next board, how will you know? I feel like I'm left hanging here. Will they still notify you if you didn't receive any scholarship? Or will the message on the bottom of the portal screen just stay as is forever?

If you do not get a scholarship from this board and are rolled over to the next board your status page will stay the same as it is now. You will get no notification that you are rolled to the next board.

And what if even after the final board you're still not chosen to receive a scholarship? Will I then receive a notification or even at least the message at the bottom of the portal page change telling me something/anything just so I'm not left hanging?

Supposedly you will get a final letter, but I have a better solution. Establish a relationship with the ROO at your top choice school or the one that is most helpful. Don't be a pest, but let her or him know you are interested. I used a Google+ hangout to answer questions for my applicants today, and I made a note who bothered to log on and who had better things to do. If my applicants email me I can give them feedback regarding their file status and the results of the board. In my case I can even tell them something about their college application status. You can sit at home waiting for your online status to change or waiting for a letter from Cadet Command or you can reach out to the enrollment officers. You may not get a response, and if that is the case try anther ROO. We are here to help.

I reached out to my enrollment officer a few days ago at my top choice and he said that I should be hearing soon and that hopefully I get the scholarship. I don't know if that really means anything but it was nice to reach out and let them know I was interested. Another question that may not be good for this thread is will already being into my top choice help me at all?

your college admissions status has no impact on the HS scholarship process. Where it may come in is at a Battalion that wants to commit their unused scholarships quickly. Some schools may look at their list of applilcants and choose the best to offer their unused scholarships. If you have made yourself known to them, and you are accepted you have increased your chances.
