Will being the only nurse in a battalion be a bad thing?

Are you sure you're the only nursing major? My oldest son is a freshman nursing major at a large university. There are several other nursing majors in his battalion. The only time it has bothered him is when the other guys talk about branching. Everyone wants to branch Infantry when they're 18. Our advice was to choose a field that translates to the civilian world (think: job after military service). Our son wants to be a nurse anesthetist. Best of luck!

Flip them a slide of the average CRNA pay and you might have a few more nurses soon . 185-200k here...oh and the Army has the number one program.
