My brother and I both applied for scholarships, and my brother just received a letter in the mail informing him that he received a 3 year AD scholarship to Tulane. Does this mean that Tulane is the only school he received an offer to? If I have not received anything yet, was there an issue with my application? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't answer your specific questions, but my son in AROTC at Tulane and loves it! It is a great battalion! If your brother wants his contact info, let me know!

That's what it meant last year... last year a Scholarship Awardee might have been given one choice, or several. The contents of the official letter is the official offer, so it looks like he has one choice... Tulane, to accept or decline.

If you didn't receive a letter, than either: 1) letter was lost, 2) you did not receive an offer out of the 1st Board. Assume #2, then you will still go before Board #2 (which I think is early January) and if still not Awarded, to Board #3, which last year was early March. Last year's final decisions were out in the third week of April.

Your file will roll over to Board #2, and then if necessary Board #3, before your application is final.

P.S. it is possible to ask Cadet Command to transfer the Scholarship to a different school, but it usually needs to be within the same Brigade, and the cost of the other school needs to be less expensive... i.e. Tulane to LSU, etc.
