AROTC transfer notifications?

Does anyone from previous years or previous board dates know how the board notifies the applicants on whether or not they are allowing a transfer of a scholarship to another school? Snail mail? Email? Portal? Any help would be much appreciated! :smile:
 
The APMS that my DS had been communicating with was the one who called him with the good news. I cant remember how many days it was before May 1st but we were prepared to put down 2 deposits.
 
No Official letter yet, however on his ROTC portal under selection status it now shows the school he requested the transfer to....hoping this is a good sign.

Did that just show up today? And how early did your DS submit the transfer request, if you don't mind sharing?
 
I think he initially submitted the request around April 1st. He had not checked on the status since last Friday...so it changed sometime since friday afternoon.
 
Just got an email detailing the decision of my transfer request (got it approved:redface:) so check your email!
 
Son received AROTC scholarship with 3rd board (3 yr AD);
Sent acceptance with transfer request on April 4th;
Portal changed earlier today indicating the change in school;
Received e-mail this afternoon from Cadet Command; and
Son is a very happy Hokie!
(and we, his parents, are very relieved too!!!)
 
My son's transfer request also approved today; request was submitted on 4/8.
 
From where I'm sitting Cadet Command seems to be cranking through these requests as fast as they can. Saw two of mine get theirs granted to come to Clarkson and two get the OK to take their elsewhere. Not sure how they are being notified, but it's happening as quickly as I would imagine possible.
