Look, I'm relatively new to these forums. Please don't all hop on me if this question has already been asked before. Just kinda politely guide me to the correct thread.

But anyway.....

I understand that you cannot join a branch if you have asthma (let's check that knowledge off the list).
I do not have asthma (let's get that checked off too), however the twist is that I have a medical history of getting prescriptions filled for albuterol (asthma medicine basically). This is because my doctor thought it would be a good idea since I ran a lot and got tired in the 1st grade (approx. 6/7/8 yrs old). I got the prescription refilled every year or so until a couple years ago. Also, I have not used an inhaler since I was about 10 years old. I've participated in a plethora of sports and have never passed out, had an asthma attack or anything of that nature.

Also, I received a Type 7 AFROTC scholarship (yay me), so this is why this question is going on this forum.

Ultimately, my question is: will I be disqualified for having a medical history of getting albuterol prescriptions filled, even though I have no medical history of asthma attacks, symptoms of asthma, or recorded use of an inhaler since I was approx. 10?

In my opinion they will likely request you to undergo a methacholine challenge.

They may not, but if they see someone that has multiple prescriptions for an inhaler over many years they are going to at least ask some questions. If you truly don't have asthma then it won't be an issue.

They might just request your medical records pertaining to asthma. I have a misdiagnosis on my record which I was prescribed albuterol and flovent for and that's what I got for a remedial, still waiting to here back about being qualified.
