ASVAB Scores?

They would have no impact on admission to the Coast Guard Academy, if that's what you're getting at.

I believe I read recently that the Marine Corps does utilize the ASVAB score as part of the screening criteria for acceptance into the PLC commissioning program (you have to achieve a minimum GT score, which is part of the ASVAB,) but that's the only use I have seen other than enlistment.

Does anyone other than a recruiter consider ASVAB scores? Just wondering.

Those are strictly for recruiters looking at those wanting to enlist. No bearing for a SA. SAT/ACT scores are the numbers that are relevant to the application process.

If you score a 1000 or above on the SAT, the ASVAB is not needed for PLC. So rarely would someone actually take the ASVAB for commissioning.

no, just wondering...

I know that all Junior boys in our school take the ASVAB. Wasn't sure if it ws used for any other reason than enlisted job placement.
