Does anyone know what day of the week the CFA is done on. Son is attending session 3.

we take it the day after we get there. a friend of mine is currently a mid there and will be running summer seminar. i'm also going to session 3

Agree that last year they took it the next morning after the arrival day.

So when you get there, they have a wide variety of sports to participate until they are ready to start the session (if you are among those who arrive early). So don't overwork yourself or choose a sport that is physically extraneous (like rock-climbing, big mistake on my part). Hope this helps.

I was going to say the same thing! My son had an early flight and ended up playing football for about 4 hours (and he's not a football player) and was texting us that first evening how sore and tired he was. The next week at WP on arrival day he opted to hang out and "observe" rather than play.

He was also surprised that they had physical training that next morning, then did the CFA later in the day (I think he had it shortly before lunch, but others had it after lunch). So another chance to overwork!

sure wish they waited an extra day just due to hanging around in airports and jet lag; coming from LA is a drag because the flights leave so late and you don't get sleep due to changing planes and layovers, etc..... but son will deal with it. thanks for the replies and will convey your advice.

Maui1, my son had the same issue last year coming from Alaska. He passed his CFA but was so tired he felt he could do better. He did retake it after coming home and improved his scores significantly. The adrenaline does kick in to some extent but listen to the advice of those that tell you not to overdo on day one.

I would recommend trying to get plenty of sleep the day before you leave. Maybe that will help out a bit.
