" we are all very curious about your statistics. It helps us measure our own potential. If it is possible to gain admission with your test scores than perhaps it will be possible for us. Are you a recruited athlete? Do you have a high GPA / class rank? is your dad the president? Would love to know your thoughts. They obviously saw something incredible...what do you think it was? I read an article recently that described the superintendent guiding the admission panel on what type of candidate the Academy was currently seeking. That is why some years we see a large numbers of academics appointed while the following year may see more athletes. This may be the year of the whole candidate. I'll bet if we checked back far enough we could decode a pattern!

For me it was commitment/leadership. No parental support so I worked 20+ hours a week for transportation to local library and interviews. Also raised over 100,000 dollars for charity organization I help lead. In general, I tried to balance out my academics by showing my dedication towards my community and leadership. For the specifics question I am not legacy/recruited athlete or minority! Anythings possible!
