Would ribbons earned in JROTC count as awards for ROTC scholarship applications?
For instance if I've won a halfway decent amount of ribbons, on the Navy app, would I put the as I've won x many citizen awards? Thanks

My son was a big JROTC kid, but never mentioned the ribbons he received. He was part of nationally competitive NJROTC battalion, but knew those ribbons are not exactly rare when it comes to the JROTC world. I think what will get attention is the leadership positions you held and the responsibilities
you had. If you have received national JROTC recognition, by all means, but the ribbons from your local battalion, not so much. Btw, when you get to college...leave the JROTC gear at home...don't be that cadet/mid.

If you decide to mention it, maybe just state like # of ribbons, or the notable ones.
