Might be uniform-dependent, as in, SDB not worn but carried, NWU worn.

Correct-on occasion, even if the uniform of the day is not SDBs you may be attending something that requires you to wear them that day.

You get issues everything you need, and then some! Not sure what color they are. Black, or Navy blue, probably.

Yes, they are issued black Northface for classes. Athletics issues a variety of navy and black UnderArmour backpacks, so it depends on where the kid is headed which they are carrying and what emblem embroidery. How it’s carried depends on the days uniform. In SDBs nothing is carried on the back or shoulders (except a full sea bag), only in the hands.

Athletes wear the one with the embroidered anchor. Most of my friends and I invested in new black bags instead of the issued ones for the school year. You use the North Face one over the summer for various things. Most had liquid IV powder lining the inside and various rips and cuts by the first day of school.
