Can anyone tell me how the PFT is scored during BCT? I know how my DS did in each event but don't know how the whole thing gets put together for his score. Are there maximum amounts to get the max 100 in each event? For example in the pull ups is there a max, and for every one less than the max they do certain score is deducted?

I'm super curious, so any info would be nice.

Those are the requirements for enlisted Basic Military Training. Here are the men's max scores for USAFA.

Pull-ups: 21
Long Jump: 8'8"
Sit-ups:95
Push-ups: 72
600m sprint: 1:43?

Not sure about the sprint time, but I am positive about all of the others.

thanks for those maximums Rage. Do you know how the scoring works? For every pull up less than the max they do, do they deduct 10 points? or how does it work?

Its scaled. I'm not sure where a link to USAFA page is that has the entire point break down, but if you want to PM me his scores I can calculate it for you and send it back to you!

Why don't you simply ask your son in your next post card or letter to him. He'll tell you how things are done.

Obviously, he's there, so it's a little late to provide him with any help like you may have when he was applying. And with him in BCT, asking him would give you first hand and direct knowledge of how BCT and all the facets of it are being done. He is your best source of information.

One thing to keep in mind, at this point it is more about meeting the standards that cadets are most concerned with. Meet or exceed the standards and life is good. Don't meet them and things can get complicated. So don't get too hung up on the PFT scores for now, there is enough going on with BCT that they need to be focused upon. Good luck to your DS, BCT is only another couple of weeks!
