How many of each type of sock is recommended to pack? I already have a pair of the white crews, and will be issued 12 pair. I have plenty of black dress, and will be issued 16 pair. I have no boot socks, and will be issued an undisclosed amount. Any thoughts as to how many to purchase? Thank you!

You should be safe with 4 or 5 pairs of boot socks. Fox River is highly recommended by the cadets!

Underarmor Heat Gear Green Socks are nice too, not as hot as the Fox River; as expensive though.

If you haven't already heard this advice: recommend you put stuff in multiple big zip lock bags for easy transfer. Much easier to grab a bag of socks and undies than 10 individual pairs of each, when shifting from your home suitcase or duffel to the issued one on R Day. The zip locks will also be useful for when they pack for Buckner.
