Bed and Breakfast

Yeah i'm at Cheyenne mountain resort. I just hope there's somewhere near-by so i can walk to a store and get stuff like shampoo and soap...

Room-mates, maybe?

they said they were picking us up, giving us dinner and breakfast, and taking us in the morning.... so i'm DEFINITELY not complaining
 
I have no idea where I am. When they say we'll hear by friday, do they mean I should call if I havent heard by now or I should call later today?
 
I am the mother of an Appointee -- we live in Boulder, CO and have some familiarity with the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Spend some time on the property's website and you will get a feel for the amenities. There is at least one convenience store on the property where you can (probably) buy toiletries if necessary. Or go to Mapquest and plug in the address of the resort and search for nearby groceries, etc. to figure out where you might be able to walk to get what you need. It looks like there is an Albertson's (full service, large grocery store) .36 miles from the resort. That will be in a shopping center and will carry everything you would need to buy. You could always take a cab if necessary (I don't know how easy it is to walk from the hotel property to the Albertson's -- distance isn't a problem -- but I don't know about the street lay out). You can call the concierge/front desk and I am sure they can give you the quick run down on shopping, etc. so that you have this information in hand before you leave home.

they told me that i should hear back by the end of the business day today. otherwise, i should give a call to this number: 719-472-0300, ext. 138. i wouldn't hesitate to call if you don't hear anything.

A nice lady from the AOG called about 5 minutes ago with my host information. Staying with one other guy.
 
Just received my call from the AOG as well. I'll be staying with a Colonel. :thumb:

i just did it a few hours ago and they already called me. at least you know they're working on it!:thumb:

Yeah, I got called over a week ago, and staying with a retired major with one other appointee.
Bigcox, maybe it's time you call them again...

i've called, emailed, etc. i don't know why they aren't getting back with me. today's father's day, so i'd have to wait until tomorrow. :unhappy:
