Best and worst first duty assignments?

LITS,
That makes sense to me! So why bother with a response at all. Sometime no response is better that an inappropriate one. He's a minor trying to get information about favorite/less favorite bases.........

I gave him a good response and I (and others) suggested he focus his questions (so people could be more helpful).

When he didn't, I guess he'll experience the "no response" for most of his questions.

And then parents can come in and give their expert responses on base locations! Now that could get interesting!!!

All I know is that Minot sucks. It's just as bad as described, and if someone tells you otherwise, they drank the Dakota Kool Aid and can't be trusted. :shake:

If you are married it might not be that bad, but for a single male, it's damn near a monastic life.

Haha, one of my groomsmen's brothers is at Minot. I think he "kind of" likes it. At least, he felt good when they helped the community after the flooding. I have no idea what his actual job is though.

I am sure there will be many others who will be willing to give him/her the information he/she desires. I know from my own experiences that it usually pretty easy to get a retired military personnel to discuss there past experiences! There are many military liason that do outreach to our young folks. Usually there are no dumb questions and they are more than happy to answer all questions. And no parent would have to worry about profane language and challenging responses to very basic questions.

If he's sane, his actual job is counting down the days until he can PCS or separate.

It is to a civilian minor! How would his school administrator react to bore - --- being said by him in school to anyone.

I don't know how you mothers deal with all this scary academy stuff. No idea. You're even soft on other people's kids.

I'm pretty sure "Bore-Ass" was in my Running Light when I was a swab (that's a book produced by an agency of the federal government).

Honestly, if this is getting you, I would suggest you ask your children VERY LIMITED questions about what goes on at an academy.... VERY LIMITED. Just don't know if your hearts can take it.

Majority of academy cadets/mids/swabs are adults not minors. Minors that attend military academies, ie. Fork Union, are they allowed to speak to them that way? Just curious!

Or you are his relief and he can't leave until you get there.

Uh...if you think "bore-ass" is bad, you'd be in for quite a shock of what most kids say at school.

Well if we go to the end of the story I feel like Ralph. No matter what the LOF posse supports there own. Finally word SAF must have guidelines if not they should get some quick.

No I wouldn't be shock at all. But I would be shocked if teachers and administrator use that kind of language!

I've heard a couple teachers use a couple of words a few times, nothing major. It's not really that big of a deal.
