Best watch?

Cadets are tough on their watches - esp during USMA's CBT. Cheap is good since it may break during the summer training.

I have a Casio "Baby-G" (female G-Shock). I am not at an academy yet, but am tough on my watches. It is black, small (I have a really small wrist), and within regulations. It was $60 on Amazon, and waterproof, shockproof, alarm, glow in the dark, multiple time zones, 24 hr. time, stopwatch, date, etc. I love it!

While I wouldn't call myself a watch aficionado, I have never had any problems or complaints with my G-Shock. I have worn it through multiple training sessions and outdoor activities with no issues. It's gotten a little scratched up in the past year but it's still working great. Oh, and the fact that it has no leather wristband/etc. means that it's super easy to wash off in the shower. :)

I kinda like Patek-Philippe for stylish looks...but not so much for flying... ;)

What are the "regulations" on watches?

So I recently got a Garmin GPS watch (not one of the super fancy ones, but does what I want it to) and so far it's been great. If you're wanting a nicer watch, I suggest looking at a GPS watch you can use for fitness if you're already going to spend the money on a boring g-shock.

For USNA as of April 2014:
