BGO not submitting interview

frenzy,

Do you have a nomination yet? Are you hoping for an LOA? Do you know when their 1st appointment board will meet at USNA?
~ USAFA does not meet until Oct., there are very, very few right now that have an appointment in hand, BUT the reason why is they had in hand an LOA and a nomination (usually Presidential at this time).

You can't get appointed until you have a nomination. You cannot be charged to that nomination source (MOC) until everyone on the slate has submitted their package.
~ I say this because if you are under the impression that once the file is complete, including the BGO and you meet the 1st board after you get a nomination that you will have an answer, than you are mis-informed. They don't call it Mass Mailing March for no reason.

I think you need to stay on top of it with maybe a polite email every 10 days stating I have checked onto my portal and it is stating this is missing, do you suggest I contact the RD at USNA to see if it is caught in the system? This allows them to see you are staying on top of it, but not placing blame on them. It keeps them in the loop and giving respect to them at the same time.
I'm not hoping for an LOA but if I get the interview in my chances of getting an LOA go from 0 to x(assuming the interview is needed for a file to be reviewed), and x is better than 0. I think they already met as other people on this forum have gotten LOAs already.

I have heard it's easier to get a nomination if you have a complete file and you are 3Q'd, that's the main reason I want to complete the application now rather than later.

I'll email him again I guess, but by the looks of it he isn't checking his email so I'm not sure how much that will help.

Just because your application is completed doesn't necessarily mean it will be reviewed soon (it could take many weeks before your application goes before the board). So do not equate that finishing your application soon will mean you hear something soon. Perhaps, it is possible you might not even be reviewed until October, November or even longer.

At some point, if the interview isn't submitted, your application will be released to the Admissions Board without it.
