    Hello everyone,
I'm just curious if I should get in contact with my Blue and Gold officer in Colorado and see any suggestions he has, and whatever else there is including classes, and things that stand out on a resume.
    Thanks!

What year in h.s. are you?

    BGO stickie above recommends this:

How do I contact my BGO?

On June 1 of your rising senior year, your BGO should be listed in your Candidate Information System ("CIS"). At the same time, the BGO learns that you are his/her student through the BGO on-line system. IMO, the best way to make initial contact with your BGO is via email. After that, you and the BGO can sort out the best way to stay in touch. You can also find out your BGO via your high school college counselor.

I am a sophomore this year and I contacted my BGO a few days ago introducing my self, and telling him that I was intrested in the academy. I got his email through my high school counselor. It is nice to establish a relationship as soon as possible because he can answer a lot of questions you have, and it will help to know who he is when he comes to interview you.

This year I am a junior in high school. I am just trying to sort everything out early on so I can add as many things to my resume as possible!

    Ditto! AMEN! Wise words!

P.S. Be deluded at your own peril. You're not "early." Lots of worms needing to be caught. Congrats on your decision and get catching! :thumb:

what you can work on now.

    CFA
One thing that you can do your junior year is begin your CFA practice. I would suggest that you approach your high school PE teacher with a print out of the CFA instructions. http://www.usna.edu/admissions/cfainstructions.htm. Explain to them that your goal is to become an officer in the military (be prepared to explain why). Ask them if they will help you. Starting now-or at least no later than right after Winter break try to meet with them once per week after school, or before school or they meet even allow it during your actual PE class. You can then run through a mock CFA (this will only be about 10-12 minutes) weekly. The days in between the mock CFA you can practice whatever you are not able to max. If your run time is too slow try to meet with the school’s track or xcountry coach for tips on your form. This way if you get into NASS you can check that off immediately and not need to worry about it next summer.

    ACT/SAT
As you are aware the Service Academies super score. It is ONLY to your benefit to take the ACT/SAT as many times as possible. Shoot for top quartile in each as your lowest acceptable personal goal. If you are not in the top quartile take it again (and again).
