Question: What it you are a little thick in the middle right now but will meet specifications for Height/Weight upon R-Day...How does that play into an acceptance letter during the EA process? My son is not too far off of the chart right now, but is over the limit...He's a Football/Baseball player and carries a little more weight than the chart allows for. He will get down to the weight in a healthy manner...Any thoughts?

Sure, get it down in a safe way and figure out how to keep it down.

I was "little" my first three-ish years, and gain some weight my final year, when the sports started to taper off. If he develops those good habits now, it may be easier in the future, so he doesn't find himself sitting in his room night after night ordering Golden Wok and weezing on his walk to class (neither of those happened to me, but I will admit, Golden Wok was a fairly attractive alternative to some of the meals at the time.

Thank you for your input...He is generally in good shape...just big muscles and a few extra around the middle...those are not a good combination when trying to fit the Military standards for height & weight.
