China probably stole the plans a month ago.
Funny how many of those revolutions in warfare turn out to be have about as much long term affect as the protests of "***** riot" in Russia.( Remember RMA and netcentric warfare in the late 90's? Apparently we forgot to get the opinion of the other team before we "revolutionized" warfare then.) I think the motto of Missouri is the order of the day with any so called revolution in warfare- "show me".
Speaking from my current role, there's a definite place for that capability. I just think its funny that we build so much with an eye toward defeating a superpower competitor, and the whole time they're so damn good at stealing our best tech from us.
I'm sure Boeing isn't the least bit motivated to use words like "revolution" or "new era" in describing THEIR new baby on THEIR website.
How's about defeating an RPG or a bullet from an AK? Good point, Scout.
Dovetails nicely with your comments about the sexiness of futuristic high dollar projects and the cross-pollination between the weapons industry myopic retiring brass. Or did I read it wrong?
Being the computer geek that I am what caught my eye was how old the PC were in the video (I think the one in the center I owned 13 years ago) The other thing that made me chuckle was the way the PC in the center of the back row spits it's CD out in it's death-throws.
