    Yes, it's me again:)
Does anyone have any informative books about USAFA? I looked at our library and Amazon, but the selection was very limited. In particular, I looked at Honor, and a couple of others that I cannot remember the titles to. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

The Air Force Academy Candidate Book: How to Get In, How to Prepare, How to Survive is a great book that I highly recommend. I just read it myself and gave some great insite.

    Thanks, I'll check it out.
Also, I have another thread on this: I'm looking for books for a research paper. I actually want to attend West Point, nothing against the AFA at all. Nothing but respect for cadets/mids at all SA's.

Ummm..... There actually is a West Point Academy Candidate Book written by the same people and might be a little more helpful. I have not read the book i read the air force book and there is also a documentary made in 2002 by National Geographic that could be very helpful called Surviving West Point. I got it on amazon and it gave me a digital copy on amazon video.... and i understand my dad is in the army and a west point grad.... i want to go to the Air Foce academy to be a meteorologist you should go the academy that best suits you

For your research paper: Skies to Conquer, by Diana Jean Schemo, came out in 2010 or 2011. You should be able to get a used version on Amazon pretty cheaply if your local library does not have it. Quite comprehensive on cadet life at the Air Force Academy as of 2006.

"The Air Force Academy Candidate Book" by Sue Ross (and/or Smallwood as the case may be) as recommended by Alpineskier is an absolutely superb book. If every candidate read it, it would increase their odds tremendously and eliminate a ton of the reoccurring questions here. I cannot recommend it too highly.

If you are also interested in books about USMA, I read and enjoyed (several times) Absolutely American, by David Lipsky which gave me an insight into US Service Academies and the mindset of those who attend.

Probably aging now - it was written over a four year period by a Rolling Stone correspondent, just before 9/11. I think it was published in 2003

I actually read that book two years ago, and it ranks among the best I have ever read.
