Boots for BCT

[MA-2020]

Right now I am between the Danner Tachyon and the Danner Tanicus. Anyone have any personal experience with these boots or any recommendations?

I don't know what your specifications are for boots, but I wouldn't suggest the Danner Tachyon for Basic because Basic is really rough on boots. They seem to be great during the school year, but a friend of mine wore them this year for training sessions, and they aren't very waterproof and they can get torn up easily in a training environment. Honestly, the boots they issue in Basic serve their purpose extremely well, and you can always get boots for the school year once you finish BCT.
